The second week of May and it finally feels like Spring has started to arrive. When we had almost overnight frost last week, this week saw day-time temperatures in St. Stephen saw to 27 C - incentive enough to take off Blair House’s storm windows. With thirty-four windows on the ground floor and a further nineteen on the 2nd floor it’s no small chore to remove and clean the windows after a long Winter. They are all done. Now scraping and painting of the exterior woodwork begins.
The warm weather has also encouraged the daffadils to finally open, the tulips won’t be far behind and it’s time for the lawns to get their first cut of the season.
