Together with your loved one create your very own heart-shaped box of chocolates. Between apetizer and entree courses select chocolates from the shoppe's display cases. Taxi service to and from Blair House Inn is included.

Charlotte County Fall Fair 2013

Located in the Ganong Nature Park at Todds Point, just a few minutes drive down river from St. Stephen.

Produce, crafts, vendors, exhibits and community organizations sharing, teaching and displaying the skills that have played an important part in the historical and continuing development of Charlotte County - our community.

2013 40th St. Croix International Homecoming Festival and Chocolate Fest

International Festival: Friday, August 2nd - Sunday, August 11th, 2013.
Chocolate Fest: Saturday, August 3rd - Saturday, August 10th, 2013.

Perfect for chocolate lovers and folks returning for St. Stephen and Milltown school class reunions. Stay at Blair House during the 40th Annual St. Croix International Homecoming Festival and Chocolate Fest. Various musical and other local events are offered each day on either side of the border in St. Stephen, New Brunswick and Calais, Maine – waterfront concerts and dances, church suppers, cross-border parade, craft fairs, draft horse pull, rubber ducky race, lumberjack competition and fireworks.

The International Parade is on Saturday, August 10th. This year it starts in Calais, crosses the downtown international bridge over the St. Croix river, and ends in St. Stephen. (Next year it will reverse direction).

Fireworks on the waterfront just below our home concludes the International Festival on Sunday night, August 11th. Chocolate Fest 2013 starts Saturday, August 3rd and continues until Saturday, August 10th.

Chocolate Fest is a week-long, family-oriented festival, 'choc-full' of events, activities, contests, fun and of course, all things chocolate related! The Chocolate Mousse, his lovely wife Tiffany and their adopted baby Teddy are the beloved and popular Chocolate Festival mascots. The Chocolate Fest information kiosk is by the town wharf, just a 5-minute walk from Blair House.

"TASTE OF CHOCOLATE" tours at the Chocolate Museum Discovery Centre are offered daily. The Chocolate Museum is only a 10-minute walk from Blair House.

Taste of Chocolate includes a tour of the Chocolate Museum as well as the Taste of Chocolate Venue. Enjoy the wonder of chocolate and its appeal to all senses. This is no ordinary chocolate event, it inspires, informs, surprises and entertains. “Taste of Chocolate” combines culture with nature. Immigration, Work & Student Visa Paperwork

Blair House Inn is perfectly situated for travelers coming to St. Stephen to process the paperwork for their landed-immigrant and work or student visa. St. Stephen, New Brunswick/Calais, Maine is the nearest international border crossing for many people living in southern New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and parts of Maine.

Blair House Inn is just a 10-minute walk to the downtown Ferry Point international bridge and a short drive to the new (third) International bridge on Route 1. Visa processing is done at the new bridge on Route 1.

At present there is no bus service to/from St. Stephen and Saint John. The Maritime Bus company may start a bus service sometime this year. The bus depot is located on the outskirts of St. Stephen at the Red Rooster Restaurant & Esso gas station, 2.5 miles/4 km from Blair House Inn. There are two taxi services in St. Stephen.

Al Wood offers a daily car service 'on demand' Monday to Friday from St. Stephen to Saint John. Departing in the morning from St. Stephen, returning from Saint John in the afternoon.

For guests from Maine traveling by West's bus to/from Bangor and Calais, taxi services do cross the international border with passengers to Blair House Inn.

To avoid disappointment and delays, make sure your medical exam results, etc. are in the computer system at the Citizenship & Immigration Canada office here before traveling to St. Stephen.
